Before you do that, turn the TV to a station where you know it would have a picture. the dim your room and shine a flashlight at an angle against the screen. See if you can make out shapes, silhouettes etc. If so, it is your backlight that has given out. The possibilities with your TV could be a failed power board, failed, t-con board, failed LED driver or a failed backlight array. So, we will need you to let us know the exact model of your TV and once you open the back post plenty of good images of the boards etc. with your question. that way we can see what you see.
