Anti Virus: Avast Premiere
My brand new laptop brought 2 months ago is working very slow.
Windows loading very slow, Photoshop very slow, and overall is working too slow considering the hardware settings of this laptop.
I have no idea why, I hope you all come with a solution.

I replace the HD with an M.2 SSD.
After replacing the hard drives, I did a new installation of Windows 10 Home Edition.
Ready! Problem solved!

I believe that both the SSD and the clean install solved the problem. The SSD made things operate faster; and the clean install cleaned out any junk that had collected in Windows and was slowing it down.

Exactly! Buying a M.2 2280 SSD was an excellent investment I made in my laptop ACER ASPIRE A515-51G-58VH, as it made the performance increase many times. With the SSD M.2 2280, and with a new installation of Windows 10 Home, and all the updates installed, the system starts in just 6 seconds.

If it's new it's probably just trying to update. Turn it on, ma!e sure it's co nected to the internet and automatic updates is enabled. Start up windows update and let it go. Check on it from time to time to make sure it's not waiting for you to hit restart. This can sometimes go on for a couple of days.

Has the computer always been slow, or did it slow down after you have had it for some time?
What is slow? Is it when you surf the web? Or is everything slow?

Hello, sorry for the late answer.
The laptop was slow from the very beginning. Everything seems to have a bit of "lag" frames.
Only within the windows, the web navigation is ok.
Especially in photoshop or when I m trying to open it, takes a lot of time to do so, and windows is opening slow.
