Happened to me exactly the same.. what did you do in the end?

por

* What size is that triangle bit?? I just ordered the pro-tech bits and none fit the headphone.

por

Is their anyway I can turn it on without that even if it’s stuck

por

Use a very small torx but for the triangles. Pop the knurled right off the outside of the headphone to reveal the screws

For anyone having the same problem:

At first, remove the two triangle screws from the outside

Then just lift up the plastic-ring (it’s glued) - under it there are 4 screws, if you remove them, the casing will open up

how do u even lift up the plastic-ring? it seem impossible

por

its kinda difficult, just use the "Jimmy" Tool or some thin plectrums

Before I tear the earpiece apart… is it worth while? My button is stuck but still operational. Will still turn on / off. Thanks :)

What size is the triangle bit?

por

Warren Duan: I used a flat head screwdriver that fit tightly between two points of the triangle screw and they unscrewed easily.

Hi there!, so this happend with me too and when I tried to click the power button of my JBL headphone it wasn’t doing anything. So to fix this there is no need to buy a new pair or get it fixed. All you need is a safety pin, unless you are careful and you don’t get any scratches all you have to do is try to pop it up but the side which has been buried

JUST LIKE THIS :):

If these are anything like the other headphones I’ve disassembled there should be 3-6 screws hidden under the earpad foam. They will likely require a proprietary JBL bit. Here is a link to some triangle bits, one of which should be the correct size for your headphones. Hope this helps!

Has anybody finally found out why the slide button gets stuck before it reaches the end position? And maybe if there could be a fix without completely opening the affected ear shell?

Regards,

Wolfgang

I would say that some of the hardware in the head phones might have gotten messed up but that is probably not likely.

Usually the headphone will work after being dropped because JBLs are pretty tuff. Depending on the hight dropped, if they are somewhat new, I would ask for a refund because they are meant to be pretty tuff.
