iOS 11 - option for lock screen on off when cover closed missing?
As we all know the power button doesn't work without transferring the ic chip by the home button after replacing the screen.
In iOS 10 there was an option in the display settings to disable the screen turning off when the cover was closed and that would solve the lock button issue while you tested the new screen etc.
Where is that option in iOS 11, I can't find it anywhere.

Anyone have an idea?

Are you using a real smart cover or a 3rd part smart cover? There was a mention that on the iPad 4, the option as of iOS 11 only appears if it detects the magnets attaching the cover to the iPad.

Put on assistive touch in general settings. Click on device when installed. Then click on lock screen. Magnetic shutdown does not exist on latest and newest iPad, Shame on apple! Brian
