When the camera is turned on it goes to a bright white screen which looks similar to an over exposed view,cannot seem to adjust it at all,tried menus,but no luck,any ideas ?

david white if you are referring to your LCD than this could be a failure of the LCD. Try a replacement and see what you get. Here is the guide for it Nikon Coolpix L26 Camera LCD Screen Replacement
