Side Charging using Sony Dock has failed

I have charged my tablet through the Sony Docking stand for years with no trouble. It has recently failed. The dock is fine with voltage to the contacts and the contact mechanism operates correctly. The problem is definitely with the tablet. Is there a replacement part available for the side charging feature?
