Hi. I just bought an Alienware 17 R4 and as I search through ifixit for teardown guide, I did not find any. It would be really helpful if there is a teardown guide for this device because you can actually replace stuff and fix the laptop unlike a MacBook (let it be air or pro).

Dell also provides the service manual. I know it's not a teardown, but it might be helpful to someone.

Has pretty much everything you need, including a list of how many of each type of screw is in the laptop.

I agree. Less Apple, more PC and Android. There's a teardown on just about every Apple product, but very few on other stuff.

Yeah. And conclusion has tended to be "unrepairable" recently since Apple like to glue and weld parts to their laptops.

@pccheese do you think it might be the fact that ifixit sells Apple parts?

@pccheese do you also think that there are thousands and thousands of windows and android products vs the hundred or so of apples. It wouldn't be cost effective to but every windows laptop or android phone and do a teardown. Also most newer android phones do have teardowns
