Part of the bottom touch screen will not respond to touch

So my device boots up fine and all buttons work properly along with most of the touch screen, except when I go to enter a password the middle two keyboard lines are unresponsive to touch making it impossible to enter my password. I have wiped my cache partition but am still unable to get a response from part of the screen. Could this be an LCD problem or is this an unfixable hardware problem that will require a factory reset?

My Z2 sumsung also fell in water and I removed it immediately and removed the battery ,USB and sim wiped all the water then I covered it in a container filled with rice and silicon for two days . After that I switched it on but the problem is it can't swipe but messages from WhatsApp and Instagram are getting in but if you call will tell you can not be reached ,what can I do help me

Putting a wet phone in rice is one of the worse things one can do! While it is true that rice will also cause a film to develop on the phones circuit board; which will in turn cause circuitry interruptions. For example, you're in the middle of writing a text message, and all of a sudden your screen has a minuscule burp, and your text message is lost.

Proper treatment for a phone that has been dropped in water is to dry it as best you can with a towel. Then place it into isopropyl alcohol to dissipate all water. Re-dry it with a towel. Then preheat your oven to 250° next TURN OVEN OFF, and lay your phone in the declining heat of the oven. repeat this process until the phone is thoroughly dry.

Now your phone is as good as new! Turn it back on and once again use it.

i have a problem with my samsung s7edge i had dropped my phone it was about a 4 foot drop wich had left a dent in the top corner of my phone and many cracks going across it my phone was still responsive until just a week later the bottom of half of my screen was no longer responsive i couldnt write in my password my buttons were stil lworking perfectly along with the top half of my screen , if anyone has any solutions or ideas please let me know.

@ninamarie , Nina, If phone did not experience liquid or physical damage, unresponsive screen may either be caused by a glitch in the firmware or hardware and can be fixed by factory/hard reset according to the forum link #1 below. If after reset still not cooperating probable defective screen/digitizer or loose/bad plug/wire connection. Clean with a Qtip dampened min. 90% Isopropyl Alcohol and make sure all connections are seated well. You can use the links below to disassemble your device and clean the cable connections and reseat them to make good connection and try phone. Still a problem probable defective screen/digitizer replacement required. Link #3 is a replacement screen assy. which you can also do a search for better pricing perhaps. Good luck.

Hi sir same thing happens to me and it happens in my two phones and both bottom part aren't responsive to touches and my ASUS zenfone 3 max home botton/recent and back botton doesn't work even thou it isnt in the touchscreen place....

Both my ASUS zenfone 3 max 5.5 and Samsung A3 2016 has a couple of centimeters down the screen unresponsive to touch ....

What should I do i already reboot factory reset both of my phone and even electrocuted it and nothing works....

The very bottom vof vscreenb not working for certain things... Space bar vworks vbutb not vreally, there's double clicking and accepting, pressing bokay and changing the lock screen..

it is strange, my iPhone had dropped and half of touch screen doesn’t work. I changed the touch and screen, and new hardware didn’t work completely. I examined my broken touch and screen in other mobile and again half of it worked. is my motherboard damaged?? if yes why it works in half? if not why new touch and screen which I bought doesn’t work?

i dropped my iphone and there´s a little crack on the top half but for some reason the bottom is not working and my fingerprint doesn´t work so now i cant get into my phone because the password requires a number at the bottom of my screen which does not work and i cant use my fingerprint

I have a Oukitel C15 Pro, I replaced my screen but after some time it appears that my screen is unresponsive in the middle part of the screen. Any help.

Can someone help me out. I just got an IPhone x second hand. But I can't hit the letter a. It doesn't respond q, caps lock, and number button doesn't work either. Face id also quit after update. I don't know what to do I want to get it fixed by don't know what the problem is. Or what to try in order to fix it. Please someone help me here the nonresponsive buttons r the biggest problem.
