does not boot when press power button.

i have a sony vaio laptop, i tried connecting bluetooth device and then discovered bluetooth drivers were missing. I installed drivers and since then it does not power up. WEB button works however, when I press power button there is no response. technician says this is BIOS override issue and could be possibility that the motherboard has gone bad.please advice.
