very slow load on start up and loading game
Take forever to start up and to load my games and movies what should I do.

A hdd is most likely the problem, so I recommend replacing it with more durable much faster ssd.
There is a guide here on how to replace the hdd, but you will sill need to put playstation os on it for it to run.
SSDs are more expensive than HDDs, but the speed boost will be mind blowing.

Sounds like this could be a failing hard drive. Hard drives are known to start running more slowly and when going bad. I would advise backing up any important information as soon as you are able to and then try installing a new hard drive into the PS3. Keep in mind you will have to install the PlayStation OS onto the hard drive before it will boot up. There are many guides online for how to install the software. Best of luck!

Hello there
I've just cleaned my ps3 yesterday i had some slow downs after I did clean the fan, psu unit and case its seems to run a lot faster from when I got it i saw a load of dust i gave it ago to myself and it worked out okay.

So I plug in my WWE '12 game, and when it's installing the game data, it's stuck on 56%. Anyone have a solution?

it's because you have to many people on devices
Yeah. I just turn off the ps3 when the fan makes a loud noise and it loads slow. Sometimes the loading works when I’m done with the ps3 and come back to it after giving it a break.

My PS3 will load dvd movie fine but takes forever to load games as much as 30 min. I am not online anymore just arcade now.
