A piece of plastic might have broken off, interfering with the cover mechanism. You may want to consider taking it apart until you can see the cover's mechanism, and see if anything is blocking the mechanism or missing. Can you describe the problem in more detail? Does the cover go down part way, or not move at all?

Mine is having this issue with the sliding cover not latching closed. I can close it all the way but it doesnt click in to stay shut. It just opens back up when i let go of it.
