The touch screen is not responding on my Samsung Galaxy 6. It got darker with the exception of a little stripe on the top of the scree which is responsive. It became so after being exposed to some rain (not a lot). What should I do?

Turn it off and use some Silica gel to remove the moisture/water.
Samsung made a stupid mistake of removing the water resistance feature.
