I always have to go to Menu, click ok, turn on speakers, then exit out to get sound. I thought it might be the remote but when I use the on/off buttons in the back, it still does it. Any suggestions. It is only a couple of months old and it has been doing it since the beginning.

Hi,
When you turn on the speakers in the sound settings menu is there a done or save option?
Also have read if you turn off the power (at the outlet) to a Vizio TV it will revert back to factory default settings. Don't know if this is true but maybe you can check and see if this is what is happening with your TV
