game plays without being pushed down
when i push down the game in slot it stops working only in up position replaced 72 pin

Hello there! This could be because of the cartridge, and not the reader. I would clean the cartridge using the guide on the NES page and see if that works. Otherwise, don't worry about it, your system won't be harmed at all.
