I have a mid 2011 macbook air which needs a new battery. Is the driver that will open the case a p4 (1.2mm) or a p5(1.5mm). I have seen info with both. Also, I would like to confirm that the battery itself needs a t5 torx. Thanks!!

The p5 is the correct size for the case, I believe it might just be that p4 can do it but it is not a proper fit. Also that is indeed the correct size for the battery

Thanks for the answer and I think you also explained well why both seem to be recommended ! I just ordered the P5 from ifixit.com
