My LCD screen stopped responding to touch. How do I repair it?
My Z10 screen stopped responding to touch. Can I replace a component easily to restore my cell?

Has the phone been dropped recently ?
If not have you tried doing a master reset? Might be a glitch or software issue and could be just as easy as doing a reset

Thanks, no, the phone was not dropped. I did take it in to the dealer and they told me it would be nearly $200 to fix so I grabbed a new phone. Now I wish I hadnt grabbed the Galaxy S5, I miss my Z10. I'm going to try to change out the LCD on my own.

SammyD, straight forward repair with no big surprises. Use this video or you may use this guide for the repair. The complete display assembly consist of the LCD and the digitizer, available for around $20 USD at places like Amazon or ebay as well as many more.

Question one did you drop the phone?
And if it suddenly just stopped working in responding sounds like the LCD digitizer has gone bad and needs to be changed out.

Thanks for the reply, no I did not drop the phone, it just stopped responding one day mid day. It does seem like a dropped phone issue I know.

I think you've got it right too. I was told the fix was too pricey at the dealership. So surprised!! Now i wish i had fixed it. I'm going to try to replace it myself, thanks for the video link.
