encoder strip has position?
I changed the encoder strip and now the carriage slam on both end.(sorry my english)

i am sure u have turn the encoder strip upside down.. reposition it (upside down if not work then leftside to ringside then upside down again ) and see if is not working then the one you change is either incompatible or damaged...
