Droid 3 lost, i found it but it had been run over. Microchip may be ok though! How do I find out and try and restore all photos - contacts. I don't know if it was backed up. Thank you

kdunagan11, not sure which microchip you are referring to. All of this will depend on the damage to the logic board. So, unless you either try to sync it with your computer and see if it is being recognized, or take it apart to evaluate the damage, there is no way to know.
