Drive Belt
If the dryer makes noise, the belt may be frayed or damaged. If the belt is damaged, it will make noise every time it travels around the pulleys. The drive belt is a long, narrow band that wraps around the entire drum, then around a tension pulley and the motor pulley.
Drum Roller
It is very common for dryer drum rollers to wear out. If the dryer makes noise, particularly a loud rumbling noise, one or more of the rollers may be worn out. After removing the drum from the dryer, inspect the rollers. If one is worn out replace all of them at the same time as a preventative measure.

Drum Roller Axle
Over time the drum roller axles can wear out, causing the rollers to wobble. If this happens the dryer makes noise. If the dryer is making a rumbling noise, check the rollers and axles. If any are worn out, replace them all at the same time.
Blower Wheel
Clumps of lint, socks, and other small articles of clothing can get past the lint filter and into the blower wheel. If the dryer makes noise, and the noise seems to be at a very fast pace, there might be something caught in the blower wheel. In addition, the blower wheel sleeve might be worn out, allowing the blower wheel to wobble on the motor shaft. If this happens, replace the blower wheel.
Drum Bearing
The drum bearing supports the rear of the dryer drum. If the dryer makes noise this bearing might be worn out. Replace the bearing if it is worn out. Do not lubricate the bearing, the lubrication will attract lint and dirt and accelerate the wearing process.

my LSG7806AAE dryer.
Since I replaced the drum support roller, it will only turn when it is empty, but not with a load inside. Does anyone know why?
I am looking for a solution for a SCRAPiING noise in my AEG dryer. I replaced the drum belt, but now it has developed a scraping noise which does not happen all the time, but sounds like metal scraping on metal and is seemingly coming from the back of the machine. It is a new belt and there was no evident wear on the pulleys or other parts and it is not a rumbling noise. It actually sounds like a problem we had before with a coin lodged in between the drum and the housing, but this was in the front. Another thing is that the front ring of metal just inside the door gets almost too hot to touch. Is this normal?
Hi. is this now fixed?
This is what my machine is sounding like something stuck inside it.. like a power drill going off I don’t know what it is but just turned off and hope it can be fixed or cheap to repair!!
It’s not the belt as looked and seems to be still fairly tight
If it sounds like a power drill, I'd guess something is wrong with the motor shaft. But in my own LG gas dryer, the metal-on-metal sound, with rumble, was because a drum roller got bent out of alignment as I put drum back after replacing said roller. Getting drum back in wasn't easy. The drum's rim chewed that back roller away until the rim scraped on the frame around the drum.

Just purchased a brand new lg dryer and after the second load the metal on metal scraping of the drum started. Found that adjustments on the leveling feet made the sounds disappear. So far three days later the noise is gone and all I used was a wrench on the feet. To level the dryer better.
Thank you STE6549 person who advised on the leveling… that fixed my scraping sound too!
