Hello. I have a MBP 17" 2.6 Ghz, 3Gb RAM and Leopard 10.5.8. The Superdrive is a Matshita UJ-875S, which replaced the UJ-55 that came originally. The system profile says I can burn everything "Generic Drive Support", but Disk Utility tells me "Recording Support: Incompatible". Any idea?

Your drive NEEDS Apple OEM firmware to function properly in your mac.
