reset to factory setting
How do i reset my acer aspire 7741Z-5731 laptop to factory settings? keeps saying missing Bootmgr

Here is a link to Aspire for manuals. Locate your computer and download the manual and it should contain the answer to your problem. Sounds as though you need to reinstall your operating system but check with the maker. Good luck.

yes! i too cannot find the link for my ACER Aspire 7741Z-5731.....the F10 did not work, my laptop just beeped at me then went back to the same black screen stating...
"SMART Failure predicted on Hard Disk 0: WDC WD 2500BEVT-22A23TO
Warning: Immediately back-up your data and replace your hard drive. A failure may be imminent.
Press F1 to continue...."
then after doing so, it goes back to the same screen stating...
"BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"
then the "SMART" message comes up again and it just keeps repeating over and over. is there a way to reboot the entire laptop without having to purchase this or that or load this or that or buy a million discs online just because i have a laptop from 2010?
