Need to replace damaged LCD screen
LCD screen of my MacBook (early 2008 A1181) is damaged, can I put A1342 LCD screen in MacBook A1181 model?

Don't think so... the 1342 is an LED backlight the '08 is is not. Also the Video cards are different. I don't think the cables will match up. Look at the tear downs for each.
On the back of each LCD is a sticker with the manufacturers part numbers. Google is pretty good bout turning up vendors that can cross reference what parts are compatible.
