Screen is Unresponsive
The LCD screen will not display anything even, and you know that the device is powered on.
Display Settings
It is possible that the display settings of the device have been altered and the LCD screen has been disabled. Insure that the LCD has been selected in the Monitor / Finder tab under custom settings.
Battery Issues
Insure that the battery is fully charged and inserted correctly. Power supply issues can cause the camera's LCD and other components to be disabled.
Hardware Failure
It is possible that a hardware failure of the LCD has occurred due to a fall, impact, excessive heat, or other types of environmental damage. In this case the LCD screen will need to be replaced. Refer to our LCD replacement guide.
Lens Is Not Recognized
The device displays a lens error and promptly shuts down.
Proper Lens
Insure that the camera lens being used is of the proper type for your camera’s make and model.
Attachment Issues
Make sure that the camera lens is properly attached to the camera. White alinement dots on the camera and lens aline and the lens turns until it fully latches into place.
Dirty Contact Points
Electrical contact points on the camera and lens can become dirty and loose contact. Clean the metal lens contact pins on the camera and the contact pads on the lens gently with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry completely.
Device Is Overheating
Camera becomes too hot and powers down.
Environmental Factors
Make sure that the room you are recording in is not excessively hot because the ambient air temperature is directly related to the temperature inside the camera. Attempt to keep the camera as cool as possible.
Overworked Battery
Under demanding loads or conditions it is possible that the camera battery could possibly overheat. Give the camera time to cool down and switch out the hot battery for a cool fully charged battery.
Device Will Not Power Up
The camera refuses to power on.
Battery Issues
Insure that the battery is fully charged and inserted correctly. Power supply issues can cause the camera to not power up.
Software Bugs
It is possible that there is a software glitch that is causing the camera to lock up. Take out the battery, wait five minutes, and attempt to reboot the device.
Hardware Failure
If all other solutions fail it is possible that the motherboard or another major component of the camera has failed causing it to fail to power up. Refer to our motherboard replacement guide.
The Device Will Not Stay Powered Up
The camera displays an error and shuts down once powered up.
Battery Issues
Insure that the battery is fully charged and inserted correctly. Power supply issues can cause the camera to not stay powered on or to shut down suddenly.
Lens Issues
It is possible that the camera and the lens are having miscommunication. Attempt to try a different lens or clean the contact points on the current lens and restart the camera.
Hardware Failure
It is also possible that the motherboard or another component of the camera has failed causing it to not stay powered up. Refer to our motherboard replacement guide.

im using a manual lens i dont have manual focus assist or focus magnifier turned on but i still cant get the marker display to change my aspect ratio

my a7sii will not power on, i have not used in a month or so and it randomly will now not power on. I have tried multiple batteries
