If your RazorX DLX electric skateboard is making grinding noises while in operation, use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Faulty Bearings
There are three standard skateboard wheels on this skateboard, and they each have a bearing on either side of the wheel. You can spin each wheel and listen to see if they need replacing. Check to make sure that the nut holding the wheel onto the truck is not over tightened.
Faulty Bushings
These are the red parts of the skateboard truck that allows the trucks to pivot. They are designed to allow you to lean and steer your skateboard. You can stand on your board and lean one way, then the other to see if the Bushings are what are causing the noise you hear.
Noisy Motor
The Razor Skateboard has a single brushless motor on one of the wheels. This motor may have had water and/or dust intrusion which could be causing your issues. You can try blowing it out with compressed air.
