Squeaky or Grindy Mouse buttons

Lubricate Mouse Switches

If you’re experiencing squeaky, grindy button clicks, it may be experiencing plastic-on-plastic contact over time between the mouse button molding and pins in the mouse chassis. Use a small and fine brush to apply a relatively thin (low viscosity) lubricant to the switch. You can gently pull up on the mouse button or disassemble the mouse to reach the switch.

Slick/Thinning Mouse feet

Replace Mouse Feet or Use Different Mousepad

If you’re experiencing the mouse base scraping against the mousepad or too thin, you might consider ordering a set of replacement mouse feet, like Mouse Skatez, to replace your stock mouse feet. Another solution is to try using a harder or thinner mousepad to see if the texture matches your desired experience.

Center Glide (Mouse Bottom) is slower, has more friction

Clean or Change Mousepad

If your center glide is not slippery, try cleaning the bottom of the center glide. If that doesn’t work, try changing the mouse pad to a smoother mousepad.
