If your Razer Blackwidow V3 Tenkeyless Keyboard registers multiple inputs from a single key press, use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Software Needs an Update
If Razer Synapse crashes, fails to recognize the device, does not save settings, causes high CPU usage, freezes, or has trouble syncing with the internet, the software may need an update.
- Open Razer Synapse and right-click on the Razer Central icon.
- Select “CHECK FOR UPDATES.”
- If an update is available, click “UPDATE” to install it.
Poor or Missing Connection
If the keyboard does not respond, is missing from Device Manager, or displays an error message despite being connected, the connection may not be properly established.
- Connect the keyboard directly to the computer without using a USB hub, extender, or KVM switch.
- If already connected directly, try a different USB port.
Incompatible or Insufficient USB Port Power
If the keyboard connection is unstable, an incompatible, faulty, or underpowered USB port may be the cause.
- Verify that the USB port meets the product’s power and compatibility requirements, as some keyboards require at least USB 3.0.
- For keyboards with two USB connectors, ensure both are plugged in correctly.
- On desktop computers, use the USB ports located at the back of the system unit for better power stability.
Faulty or Incompatible HDMI Connection
A damaged cable, port malfunction, or unsupported resolution may prevent proper functionality.
- Check the HDMI cable for any rips or tears.
- If issues persist, switch to a different HDMI cable.
Dirt or Debris Buildup
Dirt buildup can cause keys to become unresponsive, sticky, or register multiple inputs from a single press.
- Gently remove the keycaps.
- Use a brush and an alcohol wipe to clean out debris.
- Reinstall the keycaps after cleaning.
