Bateria descarregada
Pressione e segure o botão LIGA/DESLIGA para ligar a sua câmera. Se isso não funcionar e a câmera não ligar, a sua bateria pode não estar carregada. Para resolver esse problema, conecte o cabo USB à câmera e a uma tomada. Se o problema persistir, a bateria pode estar com defeito. Considere trocar a bateria. This camera is junk. I just bought one, and it started acting up the very first day.
The battery is fully charged but the on/off switch of the camera seems to be unresponsive. If you take the battery out, and put it back in, suddenly the on/off switch will start to work. Once or twice. If you try to turn it on again, a few minutes later, it's unresponsive again. Sometimes, you need to remove and replace the battery, several times, before you "get lucky".

My Coolpix s3600 is not operating. When I turn it on a red light comes on in the front and the zoom comes out but the screen does not light up. It also would not shut down. I have to take out the battery and reinsert it and then the camera shuts down by itself. This started when I inserted a memory card. Now it is doing the same thing even when the memory card is not there. I first inserted a micro sd card with adapter and later I inserted a regular sd card. I have installed the latest driver from the website but still cannot get the camera to operate.

I'm having the same problem, but the problem appears unrelated to the SD card. It will randomly sometimes function normally.
