My Device Won't Turn On
You are unable to turn on your Droid Eris
Charge The Device
There is a possibility that the phone is dead.
The first thing that you can do is to plug the device with the correct charger in an outlet in order to charge it.
Perform A Soft Reset On The Device
If charging your device did not work, restart it.
Perform a soft reset by powering the device off and then power it back on.
Perform A Hard Reset On The Device
If performing a soft reset did not work perform a hard reset instead.
From the home screen on your device manage your way to the applications tab. Then go to your settings, then privacy, and then Factory data reset. At the bottom of the screen it will have a choice to reset the phone make sure that you choose the yes option. It will ask you that questions twice and make sure that you choose yes to approve it. Once you choose yes it will erase everything. If you have saved everything to your micro SD your information from the phone will be saved otherwise it will be deleted.
Is The Battery Connected?
If the hard reset did not work, battery could possibly be disconnected from the device.
Disassemble the back of the device to remove the battery. (if you are unaware how to disassemble the back cover in order to get to the battery click here. Remove the battery and then place it back in. After you have done that try turning it on to see if the issue is resolved).
My Device Will Not Charge.
Plugging in your Droid Eris will not bring it to life.
Plug The Charger Ports Into An Outlet And Check The Outlet
Unplug the charger port from the wall and check the charger to make that there is not any wears and tears visible. After you have checked for those issues and there is not any visible damage make sure that the charger port is plugged all the way into an outlet. It is possible that the outlet is not working so plug the charger into a different outlet.
Could Possibly Have A Short Battery Life
If the option above was not the issue chances are, you have an over processed battery.

My Screen is Froze/Unresponsive
After trying to use the screen in various ways your Droid Eris does not respond.
Perform A Soft Reset
It could possibly be having issues that could only require a soft reset.
Power down the device and then power the device back on.

My Camera Isn't Working
After multiple tries you are unable to use the camera option to take a picture.
Clean The Camera
The camera could possibly have lint on it preventing it from taking pictures.
Disassemble the device and remove any dirt or dust that could be lingering on the phone affecting the quality of the pictures. (If you are unaware on how to disassemble the device click here.)
My Phone Got Wet
You have dropped your phone in water.
Phone Was Dropped In Water Or Just Got Wet
If you accidentally dropped your phone in water or if it's extremely wet do not dry it with your clothes only and expect it to be alright. Take action immediately before further damage occurs.
Take action by taking apart the phone immediately after it has been in contact with water. Let the parts lay out to dry or place them in a bowl of rice. Do not try to power on the phone until it is completely dry. (If you are unaware on on how to disassemble the device click here.)
My Charger Doesn't Fit
You have pushed and pulled but the charger will not plug in.
Check The Charger
Look at both the charger and the charger port to check for any deformities that may have occurred. If the charger has any broken pieces or has been deformed the charger needs to be replaced. If the charger port looks damaged it will need to be replaced. Also ensure that you are using the correct charger.
My Headphones Do Not Fit
You have pushed and pulled but the headphones won't plug in.
Examine the Headphone Jack
Examine the headphones as well as the headphone jack to check if they are distorted at all. If the headphones are broken or distorted, you will need to purchase new headphones.
It Is Possible that the headphone jack is broke and you will need to replace it

My Sim Card Isn't Working
You have tried all of your options but the SIM card is not working.
The SIM Card Will Not Read Or Is Being Misread
If the SIM card is being misread, turn off the phone, take off the back cover, take out the battery, and check to see that the SIM card is secured and try again. (If you are unaware of how to take out the battery to check the sim card click here.) If this is not the case, inspect the SIM card to check if it has been damaged.
My Phone Will Not Connect to the Internet
You are unable to connect to the internet with your Droid Eris.
If error messages occur when the phone attempts to connect to the Internet try restarting it.
Perform A Soft Reset On The Device
If charging your device did not work, restart it.
Perform a soft reset by powering the device off and then power it back on.
My Back Light Will Not Turn On
You canot see the screen because the backlight isn't working.
If the back light will not turn on and/or the images on the screen are too dark try restarting it.
Perform A Soft Reset On The Device
If charging your device did not work, restart it.
Perform a soft reset by powering the device off and then power it back on.
Replace The Back Light
