My Tablet Will Not Turn On
You press the power button but the tablet does not turn on.
Possible Underlying Causes
Might Have a Drained or Dead Battery
The battery may have no charge. Plug the charger into the tablet and try to power it on. If the tablet does not power on right away, leave it plugged in for a few minutes before trying to power it on again. Note: Be sure the charging cable is properly inserted into the tablet and power source. Possible Defective Battery
If after 30 minutes charging the tablet still does not turn on, the battery might be defective and need to be replaced. See the HP Slate 7 Extreme 4400US Battery Replacement for instructions on how to replace the battery.
Charging Cable Might be Defective
The charging cable might be defective. Find a different or new micro-USB charger, and use that cable to charge the tablet. Be sure it is properly inserted into the tablet and power source. Note: The micro-USB charging cable for the tablet supplies 2000 mA and a generic micro-USB charging cable supplies 500 – 800 mA. Be sure the cable used will be able to supply enough power to the tablet.
Possibly Bad Power Source
The outlet in the wall might not be getting power, so to exhaust all possibilities try charging the tablet using a different wall outlet. My Device is Getting Too Hot
When using the device, it overheats and becomes sluggish and/or shuts down.
Possible Underlying Causes
Air Flow Can be Restricted
Be sure to have proper airflow to the device. Refrain from using the tablet under blankets or leaving it running under something (clothes, blankets, etc).
Tablet Could Have Too Many Applications Running
Too many applications might be running in the background, taking up processing power and Random Access Memory (RAM) causing the tablet to run inefficiently. Doing so runs the risk of overheating, so be sure to close out applications completely when you are done using them.
My Tablet is Running Slow
The device runs slow and sluggish when in use.
Possible Underlying Causes
Too Much Memory Could Have Been Used
A lack of available disk space will cause performance issues when using the tablet. Be sure to delete unused applications and documents from the tablet by going to the memory settings, a category under device settings.
Possibly Too Much Time Since The Device Was Powered Down
When a device is not powered off for quite some time, performance issues start to arise. The quickest way to improve a devices’ speed is by turning it off. Doing so wipes the devices’ Random Access Memory (RAM) freeing up much needed memory space for running applications.
May Have A Virus
Getting a security app or program that will check the system for viruses, and be able to kill or fix the said issues.
I am Locked Out of Tablet

Possible Underlying Causes
Can Unlock With Google Account
Try to unlock the device. Once you have failed to unlock it several times, you will be given the option to unlock it via your Google Account. Select the option, and an email will be sent to the email address you have registered your Google Account with. Open your email on another device or computer, and select the “Unlock Device” button directed in the email.
Can Try a Factory Reset
Note: This is a last resort, it will delete ALL files on the device.
Power down the device and wait for the screen to go black. Hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until a text-only screen prompts you. Use the Volume Up and Down buttons to change the selection on screen, and the Power button to make a selection. Using the Volume buttons, navigate to “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” and press the Power button; press “Yes” to confirm the choice.
My Tablet Does Not Charge
The device will not charge when plugged into a power source.
Possible Underlying Causes
Charging Cable Not May Not be Fully Inserted
Make sure the charging cable is fully inserted into the charging port of the tablet. Next, make sure the charging cable is fully inserted into a power supply. The battery icon on the screen will show a blinking lightning bolt when charging.
Charging Cable May be Defective
The charging cable supplied with the tablet may be faulty or have become damaged with time, so you will need to get a new cable. Be sure the new cable is properly inserted into the tablet and power source. Charging Port is Possibly Broken
If you have a charging cable that is known to work, and the tablet still will not charge, the

Old Battery Might Not Hold a Charge
The tablet stays on while the charging cable connected, but turns off as soon as the

hi… power button is not working and the tab is switched off. Whenever i charge it, it shows full battery…… please help!!!!
