Go down to the windows search bar and search for HP command center. On the “Thermal Profile” tab, select the quiet mode.

If the first fix doesn’t work, try this instead:

1. Power down your device by pressing and holding the power button for approximately fifteen seconds.

2.  Ensure that there is nothing blocking the fan vents on the sides of your device.

3.  Use a vacuum to remove the dust from the vent underneath and on the side of the computer.

4. When you turn on the computer again, make sure to place it on a hard surface. Placing it on soft surfaces or cloth surfaces might result in a restricted or blocked airflow, which can cause overheating or potential damage if prolonged restriction/block occurs.
