Laptop will not turn on

The laptop will not power on when I hit the power button.

Dead Battery

If your Laptop will not turn on, try pressing the power button to turn your laptop on when the laptop is plugged into a charger.

Bad Battery

If the charger is plugged in into an outlet plug and the light is on, then the charger should be working fine. Make sure the charger is connected to the computer, and the light on the computer is on. If the computer turns on only when the computer is connected to the charger, then the battery is damaged. You can replace it by following our guide. Here is the link to Battery Replacement

Laptop will not charge

When I plug in the laptop it will not charge at all.

Charger not plugged in

Make sure the charger is plugged in into the outlet plug and the laptop.

Broken Charger

Make sure the charger is plugged in into the outlet plug and the computer. If the light on the adapter is not on and the computer is not showing any sign that it is charging, then the adapter is damaged.

Bad Battery

If your charger is working fine but your laptop is still not charging, this may be a sign that your battery is bad and needs to be replaced. Here is the link to Battery Replacement

Laptop overheats

After prolonged use the laptop will become very hot and shut itself off.

Overworked Computer

Programs that require a large amount of resources from the computer which can make it heat up to a high temperature. Close all programs and close your laptop to let it go to sleep and cool off.

Dust inside the fan

Dirt and dust build up can severely reduce the fan efficiency. Check if there is dirty, this should be one of the first steps you do in fixing your fan. Grabbing a cloth and a can of compressed air, wipe down the fan while using the compressed air to expel any residual dust and dirt.

Broken Fan

Laptop turns on but will not show anything

The laptop screen will not show anything when I power it on.

Laptop is asleep

Simply press a key on the keyboard or tap on the touchpad, If your laptop doesn’t wake up after you press a key, press the power button to wake it up again.

Laptop is frozen

You should reboot your laptop. To reboot a frozen laptop, press and hold down the power button for few seconds, and then turn the laptop on and let it start as normal.

Broken Display

Keyboard will not work

The computer will not respond to some or all keys that I press.

Operating system error

Seemingly at random the keyboard will stop responding. You can fix this by simply restarting your computer. If you are unable to restart your computer a hard power down can be performed by holding the power button for a few seconds and afterwards hit the power button again to power it back on.

Keyboard is disabled

If the keys do not respond, the keyboard may be disabled in the settings, navigate to the control panel of your computer and enable the keyboard either using your mouse or an external keyboard. To replace the keyboard, because it may be the connection.

Dirty Keyboards

A dirty keyboard will not work because it will not allow your computer to detect your keystrokes. To avoid this problem, purchase a compressed air can to clean it. Use the included nozzle to blow the debris out of the keyboard. Then use a clean cloth to wipe the keys down. You can order one here. Amazon page

Broken Keyboard

If your keyboard has missing keys, then your laptop will not detect keystrokes.Verify that unresponsive keys are not loose. It is common for keys to break and need replacement. Here is the link to Keyboard Replacement
