Computer Does Not Power On
The laptop does not respond or show any signs of powering on, or only powers on while plugged in
Connect charger to the laptop. If the laptop only turns on while plugged in, the battery no longer holds a charge and should be replaced. If the laptop does not power on while the charger is plugged in, try using a different charger. If the laptop still does not power on with a new charger, the battery is defective and no longer works. Ram Not Correctly Installed
If your computer is not turning on it could be because your RAM is loose or has not been correctly installed. If this is the case simply open up the back of your laptop and adjust you RAM to fit properly, then reboot your computer. To fix your RAM, use this guide.
Computer Screen Is Not Displaying
The laptop screen does not light up or show images. Or It only displays one color.
If the computer is turned on but the screen does not light up or display, there might be an issue with the screen display. This can be temporarily resolved by connecting it to an external monitor, or you can replace the screen following this guide.
Problem With Booting Up Process
If it displays a single color but it is still lighting up, there may be an error relating to the main motherboard. If multiple attempts to restart the laptop are unsuccessful the motherboard might need replacing. For instructions on how to replace the motherboard, use this guide.
Disc Drive Does Not Open
The disc drive on the laptop does not open or read discs.
Broken Disc Drive
If you try to insert a disc into your laptop and the tray does not open when you push on it, the disc drive is broken and needs repair. If you try to eject a disc using on-screen commands and the laptop does not respond by opening the disc drive, your disc drive no longer works and should be replaced. Faulty Optical Drive
Enter a disc in the disc drive. If the laptop does not read the disc or play the disc, try using a different disc to see if the laptop reads that one. If the laptop still does not read discs, the optical drive may need to be cleaned or is broken and needs to be replaced. To repair the optical drive, use this guide.
Computer Runs Slowly
The laptop will not load multiple pages or applications at the same time. It takes a long time to load any webpages. The laptop overall runs very slow.
Not Enough Ram
If the laptop is not able to run your applications or load webpages, this may mean that you need to update or replace your Ram. Use this guide to replace the RAM.
Hard Drive Space
Make sure your computer has some free hard drive space to be able to work swiftly and to have room to save temporary files if needed. Having some space on your hard drive will allow you to run your computer faster. If you need to replace or upgrade your hard drive, use this guide.
Unable to Download Files
The computer does not download or save files.
Wireless Card Error
If file is taking too long to download, the browser might be too slow for your computer. Exiting the download and trying again in a new browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox might solve the issue. If the problem persists on a different browser, it may be a faulty wireless card that is causing connectivity issues. To fix this issue, use this guide.
Faulty Hard Drive
If the laptop is unable to download or save new files, the hard drive is full. If this is the issue then an error message should pop up. In this clearing space or a new memory will fix the problem. To replace your hard drive, use this guide.
