This Dell laptop would not go directly into the BIOS screen but f2 would start the system repair for Win10. Choosing the advanced options eventually found a choice to start in UEFI BIOS. that is the choice you want. It immediately opened the usual BIOS screen.
I just removed all 6 batteries from a Macbook Pro Retina in 10 minutes with nothing but a piece of twine! Tuck the twine under each battery starting at the top and “cut” the adhesive down to the bottom pulling back and forth in a sawing motion. I wrapped the twine’s ends around screwdrivers to make handles. Brilliant! (saw it on YouTube)
What fixed it for me was several things: 1. Super clean the digitizer contacts and seat them firmly. 2. Flatten the frame to within a 1/16th of an inch. The first two digitizers were jittery. I returned the first one but since they are so cheap I just bought a third one which I used in the final repair. So there is a small chance that the first two were defective or I didn't seat them good enough (but I doubt it.) I also might have over-heated one of them in my attempt to seat it on the warped frame. But the final digitizer is working great and so I am betting on the warped frame being the culprit. Here is a video of my process: YouTube Link to repair
I just finished sorting this out, hope this helps you. The antenna is almost always destroyed by removing the digitizer so plan on replacing it. It is a very inexpensive part so order it at the same time. One end attaches to the underside of the MB but can be accessed without removing the MB by removing the top shield and popping up the wireless board. Here is what happened to me: I attached the antenna connector to the silver post and re-assembled. The wireless signal was dead awful but available if you set the iPad next to the router so I knew all the electronics were OK. Then I disassembled again, placed a piece of tape over the antenna connector at the post on the wireless board to make sure the connector does NOT touch the underside of the metal MB bracket! There is practically no room to avoid shorting the antenna post otherwise. Even though the antenna wire eventually makes contact with the metal case it must travel through the antenna first (I guess to tune the frequency better).
