Resposta para "My computer does not start"Check the RAM slots in this computer. The computer behaves like this when there are NO memory slots installed. Just as well it might behave this way if the RAM is of an incorrect type or if you have two sticks of different types. 2G and 4G for example, but keep in mind that if you have sticks with identical size but different speeds, this can also be incorrect. If the ram is identical one may be damaged, try one of the sticks at a time or try a different stick altogether.
Resposta para "Black Screen with Power & Battery led ON can u you help me out?"The trick you used in the beginning was a bios HARD reset and is used when your BIOS is in an unfix-able and unchangeable state. This works find but if your BIOS was having issues before you may have only treated the symptoms. I have worked with the BIOS on a few of these Toshiba's and i found that the BIOS is often in need of an update. First you want to make sure you can even get to the BIOS at this point, or at least get some screen activity. I have a few things you might check to make sure there are not any other issues. Press and HOLD ESC and press the power button, assuming that the screen is not damaged or the back-light has failed. Hopefully you will see something on the screen, this is a diagnostic and you should see some info on your memory, HD, and CMOS checksum errors if you have any. If this does not work get a very bright flashlight, something in the range of 120 Lumens if you can. Boot your computer while holding down F2 for a short while. Shine the flashlight into the screen at a very close...
Resposta para "after replacing my fan the screen wont come on. Everything else works?"First get a very bright flashlight and shine it into the screen, if you can see parts of the screen like loading screens, text in the top left side of the screen or a windows loading screen then its most likely the inverter board for your screen. In laptop LCD screens there is usually a single screen length Mercury-Containing Light Bulb that is powered by a PCB board that takes a low voltage and brings it up to a much higher for the bulb to use. (This bulb is in the screen near the bottom, assuming your screen is LCD and not LED lit) ** You may even have forgot to reconnect the Inverter Board back up to the new LCD as well ** If there is NO screen activity you might want to consider that when you put the laptop back together you forgot to re connect the screen to the motherboard. As mentioned above check the cables and "re-seat" or re connect them to make sure they are in there good. If you are sure this is not the case then check to see if the hard drive LED activity light is flickering. You may even know...
Resposta para "HDMI, VGA and audio in ports not working"What is your TV's model number? It sounds like your main board is damaged and your might need a replacement. Sometimes however this could be an issue with heat dispersion. I have seen a few TV's that do not work as you have described because the chips on the main board get too hot. Does the flickering image on the screen also affect the TV's internal functions like the menu screen or volume indicator? Usually if the issue affects the internal functions you could also have an issue with the Timing Controller Board, if not its most likely the main board.
Resposta para "Why is my power adapter not charging the battery"If you can not see the battery exists in your operating system: Take your battery out and look at it to make sure it is not swelling or bulging. Sometimes if the battery is bad you can still see that the battery exists and charge it but its dependent on whether or not the charging circuits inside the battery are damaged or not. Sometimes swelling can cause the circuits to break and this prevents the computer from recognizing the battery exists. However you might need to shut down your computer and remove the battery for a bit then try again, i have a dell that seems to be selective on when it charges my battery but that usually fixes it. If you can see the battery exists in your operating system: There are two MOSFET chips that control how the power in your laptop is drawn. One for when you have a battery connected and one for when you have the AC connected. You could have one of these that is damaged although I am willing to guess since you can power on your machine its the main one that controls the...
Resposta para "Screen is totally black"What is the model of your TV? This could be a couple of issues but from the sound of it your TV's main board might be bad. However this could also be some issue with your back lighting, its hard to tell from your description. Try to find out these things: When you press buttons on your TV does anything on the screen change? Is there any flickering on the TV screen? Turn all the lights off in your house and see if there is any light coming from the dark area's of the TV. And most important if you can take the back off your TV (unplug it first) look for the power supply board (usually brown / tan board) and look for anything like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_p...
Resposta para "Bad motherboard causing blackscreen "Operating System Not Found"?"I have a similar issue, however i have installed Ubuntu to the Hard Drive successfully and still booting from the main HD in bay 1 (I know you cannot boot from bay 2) still has the "Operating System not found..." Error after posting. I have done a reflow on the GPU which has been one of many DV9000's i have also reflow'ed, my success rate on those so far has been 10/10. I think this MAY be an issue with the bios? Grub usually flawless, im thinking that the bios is not looking for the boot sector correctly.
