Ok, I removed the Video Rom chip and accidentally broke off one of the pins but in the process, I resoldered a leg off of a capacitor onto the broken pin. For some reason when i placed it back in this fixed all the problems…
Send a pic so i can find a replacement for you. Also you need to solder it back on! So when you go to the hardware store always get Rosin core solder With flux if possible. I also recommend you get 60/40 type that contains lead . and also you if you need to know how to solder try this video series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIT4ra6M... If possible buy a solder iron that has Temp Control + a grounding pin on the plug. NOTE: Try buying a mask as soldering is toxic. But if your brave you can just hold your breath and be quick!
Sometimes the magnets gets something stuck in the computers connector like a piece of a staple, did you look for something preventing it from going in all the way?
These computers were made to be used on a flat surface bad examples of low airflow surfaces are Carpets, your lap, hot surfaces or surfaces that trap heat such as a blanket. A flat surface such as metal surfaces, cabinets, or tables creates more airflow along with allowing the heat to move to the cooler surface from the metal computer case pieces. If the fan starts blowing loudly it means there is to much heat and not enough airflow. This can mean two things one there is something preventing air from exiting the case, or two there is something sending false temperature readings to the computer.
Sounds like a bad Drive. It may have been corrupted. Boot into bios then change the primary boot to be set to disk. Insert a boot disk for windows 7. If it still cant start. Do the same process with a windows download disk.
Is your Xbox the only thing connected to the Power outlet. Or is there anything blocking airflow in the case. Are you using the power brick that came with it. Because if not it may be a voltage issue. Thus the Xbox may be restarting for its own safety. Wipe off the power button. Any loose debris can cause the Xbox to falsely mistake it for a finger.
This is a problem. Water can cause long term damage slowly until it dies. Water can cause corrosion to the devise. May i add if the phone was dead the water can still damage it over time. I would put it in rice overnight. Then get some canned air on it.
