I can answer five of your questions. (1) Yes, the Logic Board is the same thing as a Motherboard. I personally don't know why it's named a "logic board" instead of a mobo. If it doesn’t hinder your ability to use the battery normally then just leave them on. There is no benefit/disadvantage for removing the screens.
