do not press on it too hard. i once have tried to fit 3g screen on 3gs phone. it did not fit. are you sure your parts match the type? it should not be a huge problem, just have a look in what position both connectors are...
I would suggest checking keyboard settings in Snow Leopard. go to system preferences and then to keyboard. try to look for some errors there. Also, try to change language to different and then back. let us know if any success
hmm. are you in UK? if so, take it to the closest apple store, make an appointment with the genius bar and have it replaced for £138. i believe, this is beyond repair... don't take it apart,as they may refuse repair/replace. i know, we are supposed to help, but thats all what came to my mind...
it actually could be broken temp sensor... it gives wrong readings, so system just speeds up the fan. also, are you sure, the fan is working properly? i know, it spins, but it could have the sensor for RPM wrong. check the speed of fans against the FanControl... also, you might want to consider reinstalling your system. i once have done very quick reinstall, using hard drive from different macbook. worked for me, don't see the reason, why it wouldn't work for you... also, check the grills, it might me clogged...
you probably have damaged backlight cable. try to open your screen assembly and have a look on connections. as you did not provide model number, i cannot look up the right guide. you'll have to do it yourself...

does the touch function need the force touch sensor? i am lost. i have replaced the sensor (which worked even if separated) put the thing together, have attached the force touch sensor and i just tried to test the watch. it turns on, but i have no touch. there was touch prior to the force touch replacing. does the touch work if the protective film is still on it?
