Meu Problema
I was running out of space on my current hard drive (my Macbook Pro is 3 years old) but otherwise everything else was working fine. I wanted to upgrade to a bigger, faster hard drive that would last me for a few more years.
Minha Solução
I first tried to upgrade my memory with RAM that I had bought separately. However, I couldn't find the right tools anywhere and kept having issues. So when I purchased this kit from ifixit, I was so happy to find that they had everything you could possibly need to upgrade right in the kit. The only issue I had was copying my current hard drive onto the new one - and that was only because it took forever and I kept having to stop it halfway to take it to class or something. Otherwise it went perfectly and there has been a noticeable increase in my laptop's speed and performance (although I installed an extra 1GB RAM at the same time so that helped too). The tools in the kit were durable and I'm glad to have them for any future projects.
Meu Conselho
Read the directions through COMPLETELY before you start. You may need to do some last minute software upgrades on your current drive before you take it out. Also, leave yourself plenty of time to copy your current drive onto your new drive. I think it took almost 6 hours to copy my drive that had almost 200GB of data on it.
