  • Be very careful not to touch the capacitor leads or any exposed solder joints on the back of the power supply (boxed in red).

  • Grasp the small tab at the end of one of the bottom edge display adhesive strips and pull the adhesive toward the top of the iMac to remove it.

  • Repeat this step with the other adhesive strip and remove it.

  • If either adhesive strip breaks before it's removed, use a plastic card to slice through the remaining adhesive.

Wees voorzichtig en voorkom dat je de uiteinden van de condensator of de blootliggende soldeerverbindingen aan de achterkant van de stroomvoorziening (met rood gemarkeerd) aanraakt.

Pak de kleine lip aan het einde van een van de kleefstrips onderaan het scherm vast en trek de kleefstrip richting de bovenkant van de iMac om deze te verwijderen.

Herhaal deze stap om ook de andere kleefstrip te verwijderen.

Als een van de strips afbreekt kun je een plastic kaart gebruikt om de rest van de strip door te snijden.
