Sony SRS-X55 I/O Board Replacement

If your Sony SRS-X55 speaker won't play sound from the auxiliary jack, replacing the I/O board may resolve the problem.

  1. Sony SRS-X55 I/O Board Replacement, Battery: passo 1, imagem 1 %32 Sony SRS-X55 I/O Board Replacement, Battery: passo 1, imagem 2 %32 Sony SRS-X55 I/O Board Replacement, Battery: passo 1, imagem 3 %32

    • Remove the six screw covers with a spudger.

    • Remove the six 11 mm Phillips screws from the bottom panel.

    • Remove the bottom panel of the speaker.

    Geez, they make it a 'challenge' to get those gaskets under the batt covers off.

    • Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.

    • Remove the battery.

    • Remove the two Phillips screws from the I/O board.

    • Remove the front panel to the speaker by pushing on the two tabs in the corners.

    • Disconnect the ribbon cable from the I/O board.

    • Carefully remove the I/O board from the speaker.

    Is the I/0 board available, mine is damaged and the took it to repair shop but they are saying it cant be repaired
