This guide requires a compatible battery for the Sony Alpha A3000. Other battery types may damage the camera and violate the warranty.

The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the camera as shown. To access the battery slide the compartment switch from LOCK to OPEN.

Push back the blue tab releasing the battery which should spring forth on its own.

To insert replacement, depress the blue tab again inserting the battery as shown until the blue tab springs back into place. Ensure battery is secure, close the battery compartment and return the latch to the LOCK position.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
