Newport e360 Exhalation Flow Sensor Replacement

Introdução

Replacing the Exhalation Flow Sensor should be relatively quick and easy. There are no tools needed in this replacement. Make sure to give yourself time to thoroughly read through the instructions.

For more information on replacing the exhalation flow sensor, please refer to page 4-2 in the service manual.

  1. Newport e360 Exhalation Flow Sensor Replacement, Exhalation Flow Sensor: passo 1, imagem 1 %32

    • Turn off ventilator before starting this repair.

    • Shut off or disconnect the air and oxygen gas supplies before starting this repair.

  2. Newport e360 Exhalation Flow Sensor Replacement: passo 2, imagem 1 %32

    • To avoid damaging equipment, always use standard electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions

    • Put on an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves

  4. Newport e360 Exhalation Flow Sensor Replacement: passo 3, imagem 1 %32

    • Open the Front Panel Door on the lower left front of the ventilator to expose Exhalation Valve EXH2105A and Flow Sensor FLS2101P.

  5. Newport e360 Exhalation Flow Sensor Replacement: passo 4, imagem 1 %32

    • Remove the Exhalation Valve EXH2105A by releasing the retaining latch.

  6. Newport e360 Exhalation Flow Sensor Replacement: passo 5, imagem 1 %32

    • Disconnect the Flow Sensor Cable CBL2123P from the plastic body of the Flow Sensor FLS2101P by pulling cable straight up. Do not twist.

  7. Newport e360 Exhalation Flow Sensor Replacement: passo 6, imagem 1 %32

    • With a twisting motion, pull the plastic Flow Sensor FLS2101P away from the outlet of the Exhalation Valve EXH2105A.
