Introdução

If your charge port isn't working properly or damaged you may need to have it replaced. This guide will show you how to do so easily and on your own.

In this guide we will be using a soldering Iron to remove the charging port, so be careful and prepared when using this piece of equipment. For more information on how to solder and desolder connections, please visit this guide.

NOTE: You can also use this guide to replace the entire daughterboard instead of the specific charging port.

The instructions on desoldering the port should not be followed in this guide, as you can clearly see in the pictures they damaged the motherboard. There are more than 4 connections that need to be desoldered. The four connections shown are only anchor points, and there’s several pads (i believe six, aside from the four anchor points) joined to the port that actually transmit the signal. If you do not desolder these points before removing the port, you WILL damage the motherboard significantly and it will require fairly complicated repair, or the replacement of the motherboard entirely, which is the most expensive component of the phone and holds all of the user information. Awful guide.
