    • Use a JIS #00 screwdriver to remove the four 3/32" screws that attach the base-plate to the speaker enclosure.

    • Use a magnetic mat to prevent the loss of screws.

  2. DOSS SoundBox Battery Replacement: passo 2, imagem 1 %32 DOSS SoundBox Battery Replacement: passo 2, imagem 2 %32
    • Use a JIS #1 screwdriver to remove the six 3/32" screws marked with a red circle.

    • Remove the two 1/16" screws marked with orange circles using a JIS #000 screwdriver.

  3. DOSS SoundBox Battery Replacement: passo 3, imagem 1 %32
    • Remove the six 3/32" screws marked with red circles using a JIS #00 screwdriver.

    • Remove the larger 3/32" screw indicated by an orange circle using a JIS #1 screwdriver.

    • Once the screws are removed, gently lift the top (where the touch controls are) off of the speaker.

  4. DOSS SoundBox Battery Replacement: passo 4, imagem 1 %32
    • De-solder the connections from the battery to the circuit board.

    • If you do not already have a replacement battery, you can purchase one here.

What could be the cause that the box works perfectly on low volume, but as soon as I raise the volume the box shuts down?

Hi. Thanks for the guide! Can you please let me know how to remove the existing batt, I don’t know if it’s glued or sthing but I can’t take it out, I m stuck there. Tks !!

Did you manage to get it removed? I don’t know any more details than what this guide offered, but if it is glued in, isopropyl alcohol or some low heat are usually quite helpful. Make sure the battery is drained beforehand, of course, though I doubt it’ll be an issue since you’re trying to replace the battery, most likely because it’s not holding a charge anymore. If you use isopropyl, you can get fairly liberal with it without having to worry about damaging anything so long as you don’t get any on the speakers because the glue used to hold them together can desolve causing separation which would ruin the sound and would need repair.
