The batteries in the Blink Outdoor 4 are used to power all core functions, including 1080p live view, infrared night vision, two-way audio, and the motion-activated sensor. The batteries maintain the camera while it is in a low-power state, waking it up for alarming events. The device is designed to operate on battery power in temperatures from -4° F to 113° F.
