Introdução
This guide provides concise, step-by-step instructions on how to replace the Blink Outdoor 4 batteries. The device requires two AA 1.5V Lithium non-rechargeable batteries, therefore if your camera has been malfunctioning, it is most likely a dead battery. These batteries are used for optimal performance and last up to 2 years though the Outdoor 4 Battery Extension Pack is available for purchase through the Blink website for longer lasting charge. The batteries in the Blink Outdoor 4 are used to power all core functions, including 1080p live view, infrared night vision, two-way audio, and the motion-activated sensor. The batteries maintain the camera while it is in a low-power state, waking it up for alarming events. The device is designed to operate on battery power in temperatures from -4° F to 113° F. When the battery weakens, you may notice the camera lagging or not recording entirely, detecting motion, or Live View appearing “offline” in the Blink Mobile app. You will not receive camera notifications if the batteries are not functioning properly, causing serious security concerns. If the camera continues to stay offline after replacing the batteries, follow the same steps to remove the batteries and place them back in after 5-10 seconds.
Caution: Do not use alkaline or rechargeable batteries when replacing the old ones to reduce the risk of a short lifespan. If you are unsure of the battery life, check the mobile app for a "High Usage" alert, which indicates fast power drainage.
If the device is mounted, you will have to remove the device from the mount. Once you have done so, feel free to take the device indoors or to a flat surface.
