Bendix Magneto Woodruff Key

This guide will show you how to remove the Woodruff key. A bad Woodruff key will cause the drive to rotate without the magneto moving.

    • Use a 9/16 wrench to unscrew the nut on the drive shaft.

    • Remove the lock washer underneath the nut.

    • Pull away the impulse coupling.

    • Use a pliers to remove the Woodruff key.

    • If the key seems stuck, use a #2 Flathead screwdriver to unjam the key.
