A failed impulse coupling can cause the crankshaft gear to break off. This will cause the aircraft's magneto not to work therefore the aircraft's engine will not start.

  1. Bendix Magneto Impuse coupling replacement, Impulse Coupling: passo 1, imagem 1 %32 Bendix Magneto Impuse coupling replacement, Impulse Coupling: passo 1, imagem 2 %32

    • Use a 9/16 wrench to unscrew the nut on the drive shaft.

  3. Bendix Magneto Impuse coupling replacement: passo 2, imagem 1 %32

    • Remove the lock washer underneath the nut.

    • Pull away the impulse coupling.
