August Smart Lock Gear Replacement

Introdução

This guide will teach you how to replace the gears that are located within the device. The gears can malfunction causing issues with the rotating of the lock.

  1. August Smart Lock Gear Replacement, Gear: passo 1, imagem 1 %32 August Smart Lock Gear Replacement, Gear: passo 1, imagem 2 %32 August Smart Lock Gear Replacement, Gear: passo 1, imagem 3 %32

    • Flip the device over so the metal plate is facing you.

    • Undo the latches on the side to remove the metal plate.

    • Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the black screws to release the back cover.

    • To unscrew all of the screws, you will need to close the latches again.

    • Do not pull the cover apart too far as the speaker is in the cover and connected to the motherboard.

    • Lift the cover off the device and set to the side.

    • The cover contains the speaker which is connected to the motherboard so do not pull to far apart.

    • Remove the gears as shown.
