This can be caused by debris and dust trapped between the interior of the mouse or by a worn-out scroll wheel. In this scenario, it is helpful to know how to disassemble the mouse, troubleshoot your issue, and reassemble it without risking your device.

Before beginning, power off your mouse and disconnect it from any devices.

    • Be cautious with the blade and move in slow, controlled motions as to avoid any injury.

Note: the tan part connected to the ribbon cable IS A RECEPTACLE, THE RIBBON CABLE ITSELF IS THE PART THAT PULLS OUT. I accidentally pulled off my connector, lost a connector pin when attempting to put it back on, mouse still seems to work though.
