The Milwaukee Impact Wrench 2767-20 is a cordless impact wrench designed for heavy-duty fastening and tightening tasks. It was released in 2017 by Milwaukee Tool as part of their Gen 2 and features a brushless motor that delivers up to 1,000 ft-lbs of fastening torque and 1400 ft-lbs of breakaway torque. The tool sports a red and black color scheme and was designed with an all-metal transmission.
Between June-October 2022, Milwaukee sold a mechanical redesign of the 2767-20 impact wrench. However, this redesign was riddled with design flaws and gave many users issues. Milwaukee eventually discontinued the production of this version and gave users who were experiencing issues the option of exchanging their tool in for a replacement through their eService portal (http://bit.ly/2cwwBwJ). Those who purchased products with the “H96B” serial code were given replacements with “H96A” serial code.
The Milwaukee 2767-20 Impact Wrench is a cordless power tool that is recognizable by its red and black color scheme and the Milwaukee logo on its left side. Its design is compact, measuring approximately 8.39 inches in length and weighing 7.5 pounds. The tool has a rubber overmold, a textured grip, and a metal-backed housing to dissipate heat. The 2767-20 features a 1/2" square drive anvil with friction ring, 4-mode drive control at the bottom front, a control switch on the left side above the trigger, an LED light and a fuel gauge that displays the remaining battery life.
The serial code of the Milwaukee 2767-20 Impact Wrench is located on the top right of the nameplate. The original has the “H96A” distinction in the serial code whereas, the discontinued mechanical redesign has the “H96B” distinction in the serial code.
